Position Overview: 317 Main is seeking a creative and tech-savvy Digital Content Specialist to enhance our digital presence. This role is responsible for content creation, video production, and management of our website, social media channels, and email platforms. The ideal candidate will have a passion for digital communications, have a keen eye for detail, and will contribute significantly to our mission of enriching the community through music.​

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Strategy Development: Help develop content strategies that align with organization goals and target audiences.
  • Content Creation: Develop engaging and original content for our website, social media platforms, email newsletters, and other digital channels to promote our programs, events, and initiatives.​
  • Video Production: Plan, shoot, and edit video content, including event promotions, artist interviews, behind-the-scenes features, and educational materials.
  •  Website Management: Maintain and update our Squarespace website, ensuring content is current, accurate, and aligns with our brand identity.​
  • Social Media Management: Create and implement social media strategies to increase engagement, grow our audience, and enhance our online community presence.​
  • Email Marketing: Design and distribute email campaigns to inform and engage our subscribers about upcoming events, news, and opportunities.​
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze digital metrics to assess the effectiveness of content and campaigns, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.​

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field.​
  • Experience: Proven experience in digital content creation, video production, social media management, and website maintenance, preferably within a non-profit or arts organization.​
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using Squarespace, social media platforms, email marketing tools, and video editing software. Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe suite) is a plus.​
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional writing and editing abilities, with a strong grasp of storytelling and audience engagement strategies.​
  • Creativity: Ability to generate innovative ideas that align with our mission and resonate with our community.​
  • Organizational Skills: Strong multitasking abilities with attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.​
  • Team Collaboration: A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with staff, artists, volunteers, and community members.​

Work condition: This position is based in Yarmouth, Maine. 317 Main employees primarily work from our location with some remote flexibility as needed. Candidates are expected to live in Maine or relocate. 317 Main will not provide relocation assistance.
